TOHUM Savunma Uzay Havacılık Strateji Geliştirme ve İleri Araştırma Projeleri Anonim Şirketi (“TOHUM”) shows maximum sensitivity to the security of your personal data. With this awareness, great importance is attached to the processing and preservation of all kinds of personal data belonging to all persons associated with TOHUM, including those who benefit from TOHUM products and services, in accordance with the Law. With the full realization of this responsibility, as “Data Controller” as defined in the Law, we process your personal data as explained below and within the limits prescribed by the legislation.

Purpose for which Personal Data will be Processed

Your personal data in the context of the relationship with you;

• Sales, after-sales support, risk assessment, execution of contract processes, planning and execution of operational processes with you as a customer,
• Creating and managing customer records,
• To be able to track the transactions of 3rd party persons who carry out intermediate transportation and logistics works and transactions in order to deliver the products produced or supplied on behalf of the customer to the customers,
• Obtaining the license plates of the vehicles that carry out intermediate transportation and logistics works and operations in order to deliver the products produced or supplied on behalf of the customer to the customers,
• Obtaining the identity and contact information of the relevant persons, that the product has been delivered and transported in the delivery notes and proformas before and after the delivery of the product at domestic and abroad,
• To be able to collect IP address and similar information in accordance with the “cookie policy” of those who use the site through the website / mobile applications,
• Fulfillment of obligations regarding after-sales support,
• Execution of fiscal, accounting and financial transactions, including sales-related invoicing activities, performing risk management,
• Conducting assessment, analysis and risk management activities related to customers within legal limits,
• Fulfillment of the warranty obligation,
• Execution of customer relations and follow-up of corporate governance activities,
• Management and follow-up of customer requests and complaints;
• Improving and developing the services offered by TOHUM, determining and implementing commercial and business strategies
• Maintaining business and operations, execution of TOHUM activities and procedures,
• Risk management, ensuring business continuity, monitoring contract processes or legal claims,
• Planning information security processes, establishing and managing information technology infrastructure,
• Ensuring the legal and commercial security of the products and services offered by TOHUM and the individuals who have a business relationship with TOHUM and TOHUM itself,
• Planning and follow-up of business with business partners, dealers or suppliers,
• Follow-up and execution of legal processes and communication processes with official institutions,
• Monitoring, planning and execution of the credit evaluation procedures to be carried out by the credit provider companies in case of application for credit facilities offered by the contracted credit provider companies for our products and / or services,
• Creating and updating efficiency reports by obtaining information on customer-based developments,
• Conducting market research, planning and organizing activities to ensure and/or increase loyalty to products and services,
• Programming and follow-up of sales, marketing and promotion processes of products and services,
• Use in the audits of the companies with which business is conducted during the audit of suppliers,
• To realize the address and communication for the purpose of communication of persons who have business ties with TOHUM,
• Control and analysis of customer data in order to plan and monitor employee performance evaluation processes and/or business activities,
• Evaluation of job applications and internship applications,
• The results of health information obtained within the scope of occupational health and safety of employees are collected only in accordance with the law within the scope of occupational health and safety,
• Meeting the legal obligations of certain sensitive health data within the scope of occupational health and safety,
• Ensuring that employees benefit from union rights in a way that is in favor of employees regarding union rights,
• Use during cooperation, joint business, procurement and subcontracting business and transactions,
• Preventing fraud and other illegal activities, ensuring the physical security of the workplace,
• Planning and realization of customized sales and marketing activities,
• Customizing and recommending products and services according to your tastes, usage habits and needs,
• Planning and execution of activities such as sending gifts and gestures to customers according to their tastes, usage habits and needs,
• Offering campaigns and offers to customers by evaluating the shopping history of customers, sending commercial electronic messages to the contact information of customers and potential customers in this context,
• Customizing the products and services according to the tastes, usage habits and needs of the people, recommending, promoting and planning and executing the necessary activities, conducting satisfaction and loyalty surveys regarding the products and services in order to create or increase loyalty to the products and services offered by TOHUM,

All the objectives listed above will together be referred to as “Objectives“.

To whom and for what purpose the processed personal data can be transferred

Collected personal data may be shared and transferred abroad with domestic and foreign business partners, manufacturers, suppliers, security companies, brokerage companies, event companies, audit companies, banks, financial advisors and accountants, insurance companies and other business partners, affiliates, outsourced third parties, legally authorized public institutions and private persons and institutions within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 6698 in order to achieve the above-mentioned purposes.

Method and Legal Grounds for Collecting Personal Data

Personal data are collected by TOHUM through different channels and based on different legal grounds within the scope of the purposes listed above. Your personal data collected in this process are obtained from databases authorized to access by public institutions in order for us or our business partners to fulfill their obligations in the physical environment.

Your Personal Data is processed within the framework of the “Law on Personal Data Protection No. 6698” and other legislation only for the realization of the specified purposes and limited to the legal periods required by these purposes.

Rights of the Personal Data Owner listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698

You as personal data owners, 

• Learn whether personal data is being processed,
• Request information if their personal data has been processed,
• To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used for their intended purpose,
• Learning the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
• To request correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and to request notification of the transaction made within this scope to third parties to whom personal data is transferred,
• To request the deletion, destruction or anonymization of your personal data in the event that the reasons requiring the processing of your personal data disappear and to request notification of the transaction made within this scope to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
• Object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing your processed data exclusively through automated systems,
• To request compensation for damages in case you suffer damage due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

For your applications to TOHUM, you can fill out the Application Form clearly and completely in English in accordance with the law and send it to info@tohum.com.tr e-mail address with an e-mail signed with your secure electronic signature or send it with ink signature to Maslak Mah. Maslak Meydan Sok. No: 3/85 Veko Giz Plaza Sarıyer / Istanbul via postal mail. 

Documents certifying the identity, documents supporting the request, if any, and if the Data Owner wishes to exercise this right through his/her attorney, a copy of the power of attorney containing special authorization in this regard must be submitted to TOHUM in the attachment of the Application Form.

TOHUM will accept your requests arising from Law through the “Relevant Person Application Form”. TOHUM will finalize the application requests free of charge in accordance with Article 13 of the Law, according to the nature of the request and within 30 (thirty) days at the latest. In case the request is rejected, the reason(s) for rejection shall be notified in writing or electronically with reasons.
